I’m a real tagging-fiend and in addition to that I look a lot of TV Shows on my iPod.
I can live with the fact that all videos are hidden between my music files, but an annoying phenomenon is to mention:
If you tag TV Shows before importing with air-date, season and episode numbers and the tag TV-Show, Floola doesn’t recognize them.
After importing the Episodes they are again tagged as film and therefore the season and episode numbers are lost.
Is there a work around or is there an improvement in sight?
In iTunes my pre-tagged files work like a charm …
Anyhow Floola is a great piece of software, chapeau!
I’ve been using Floola for a while now with relatively few problems but something I’ve noticed is that there’s no scroll-bar when a smart playlist has lots of artists on it. I have a playlist which stretches past my screen and now I can’t add anything new to it.
I was wonderin if it could be possible to add a scroll-bar to the playlists so that I could add more artists to that particular playlist.
Thanks! Floola’s been great so far but I think it would be improved by this addition.
Scrollbars added to smart playlist edit window
I apologize if this is already a bug or otherwise something I’ve missed in terms of functionality.
I am noticing that when I use Floola as a media player, the main list window won’t scroll down as the player gets to the bottom of the list and goes to the next song. The player starts the next song, and I have to scroll down to see which song is playing. Clicking on the title to the right of the time position slider will update the position on the list, which is useful.
An autoscroll feature that would scroll up the list by… even half a page as the player gets to the bottom of the list would be nice.
Using 5.7 on Ubuntu 10.04
Floola rocks and saves the day Love it and look forward to iPhone/Touch compatibility :- )
1. Would it be possible to add crossfading? … and specify it in milliseconds
2. Would it be possible to enlarge the covers on the pop-up. minimum 80x80px
Using Floola v5.8. Couple of more things:
Sometimes I can’t access the search box in the lower left corner. Hovering the mouse over it just shows the ‘NESW’ icon and clicking it has no effect. A restart fixes the issue.
Many of the songs on my Nano 5G can’t be played? I can’t spot the pattern. Is this a known issue. Didn’t find anything here on the forum about it…
Can you have Floola randomize the first shuffle song? I’ve noticed that while shuffle works for subsequent songs, it always will start by playing the first song on my list. It would be nice if it would shuffle before playing the first song. Maybe change the functionality such that if just Play is hit, it shuffles the first song, but if you double click on a song, it of course plays that song first, then shuffles.
Just a thought.

I would like to see option of combined sorting. Before Floola, I have used Yamipod a lot, and its option for sorting playlist by Artist then Song title (Artist+Title). But with Floola, I have to sort playlist by artist first, and then do a manual reordering by song title for artists with multiple songs.
I only use that combination (Artist+Title), and would really like to see it as option in Floola.
Other than that, keep up with excellent work. This is really great app.
This would be great. I’ve tried to sort my Recently Added playlist by “Date Added+Album” and this would help.
Also, in the artist menu seeing the albums sorted by year could help too.
Let me start by saying I really like Floola and the whole vibe surrounding it. Thanks a lot!
Now my 2 cents´ worth:
When I select a genre, only artists are displayed in the artist field. (I know, ” duh!”). But the thing is that when I look at what I have in a genre, I also want to my compilations by various artists. Some of my best CDs are these.
Is there any way you could add, in the artist field, a category such as “compilations” or “various artists?” when a genre is selected?
All the best
Hi, thank you for Floola, it’s doing exactly what iTunes can’t!
I have an audio book which is divided in a few chapters.
Now I would like to copy this audio book on the iPod as an audio-book.
Therefore I select “audio-book” for all of the titles and indeed: it shows up in the audio book section of the iPod.
Only problem: Instead of showing ONE folder named “Floola Testaudiobook”, containing the five chapters, I have five different folders in the audio book section:
Would it be possible to change this, so that the audio-book files get treated as if they were an album (just in the audio-book section)?
I hope you understand what I mean.
Thank you very much!
