Hello!
Floola is a really awsome tool, yet I’d have a few suggestions:

1. When a playlist is selected, I would welcome that only the relevant Genres, Artist and Albums are displayed in the top fields. That’s what iTunes does.

2. It might be useful if the status bar said the number of songs actually displayed and selected. Now it always says the total number. iTunes also does that.

3. I would welcome a possibilty to find out in which playlists a selected song is. When I right-click on a song, in the pop-up menu there is an item “Add to playlist”. This could show in which the song already is.

Not that it would be a problem, it would just make Floola absolutely perfect!
Thank you

2. click on the textbox showing total info, it will switch to selected info

3. you can disable ‘allow duplicates’ in the add to playlist menuitem

Thanks for the reply.

No. 2 really works :-)

No. 3: What exactly does the disabling of duplicates do? Does it disable duplicates within one playlist, or does it mean that songs can’t be in more than one playlist? I do want songs in more than one and I’d be happy if I could check in which playlists they are. Sometimes I’m not sure, esp. with the smart playlists. Looking certain songs up within playlists would be rather tedious, esp. due to the item No. 1…

3. it won’t allow to add a song multiple times in one playlist, but the song can be in other playlists too.

Hopefully I can clarify #3.

As I understand it, the request is something like this.

If you right-click on a song and there would be an option called “Used in…” and that would have a sub-menu that would show you which Playlists this song is already a part of.

For your joy, this feature was added to 4.4. Merry Christmas!

Wow, what a wonderful present, thank you! :-D
I think it’s very useful “minor cosmetic issue.”

I love Floola as it is now (v4.4), and cheer you on, but I have also a couple suggestions:

1: Why is nearly every window that Floola pops out modal? I find that it is extremely annoying, particularly when using the “Add from web” feature and being unable to create a playlist for the items I download from YouTube while said download is occuring.

2: After aforementioned download and conversion completes, and I find myself able again to create playlists with the “Add to iPod” screen in the front, the “Add to iPod” Advanced Options do not allow me to put the YouTube videos in the newly-created playlist.

3: I suggest that the “Add to iPod”, “Adding Files to iPod”, “X files were added to your iPod” and others be made non-transient. I do not think users of Floola like these windows hovering on top of other applications they use. The “Adding Files to iPod” window usually appears on the top left corner of the screen, forcing me to shift its position to access my Back, Forward, Reload, Stop and Home buttons on my browser. A “Minimize” button would be highly appreciated.

4: I think that music and videos deserve being listed together, but why are photos uploaded to the iPod through a separate utility (which happens to be modal), and listed separately? The same goes with notes, calendars and podcasts. Users would certainly like to use the “Add files” window to add photos and text files. They would also like to see at a glance the files on their iPod by looking at the list of items, which currently shows only “Music, Videos, Podcasts and Audiobooks”. To be able to list every file in the same list in alphabetic order might ease the job of managing an iPod. If it becomes troublesome to find a particular group of files, I propose that Floola allow the user to organize his files according to his own tastes, for example in categorized alphabetic order. E.g. , Music could be listed first, then Audiobooks, following that Videos, after which there would be Podcasts, next Photos, Calendars before last and Notes at the end, all ordered alphabetically within the subgroups.

5: The playlists are great. However, when adding files, you may not choose whether to place a file in two playlists simultaneously.

This is however great software! Keep it going!

I would like to see a box(like the one listing genres) with a list of:

Music
Podcasts
Videos
Pictures
Add From Web
Etc..

Clicking on one would change the song list box to the window that is suggested.

Selecting videos would show only video files, pictures would show pictures, etc. This would make using the program easier for newbies and cut down time having to find how the right window to do what you need.
