hi…..

first of all thank you for you work with floola…it saved my life with my ipod classic 160 GB 7th gen. It’s the only software that works under linux with this generation of ipod.

Works perfectly…except for coverart…I meen…my ipod is full, and I don’t feel like copy-pasting all my cover.jpgs to floola manually as it is set in the documentaion….as all my songs don’t have embeded coverat (artwork) but external .jpgs (cover.jpg).

I was thinking…is there an elegant way to synchronise the artwok I have in each folder/album on my computer with the database on my ipod? Or to make floola recognize my artwork while transfering to my ipod?

Thanks

answering my own question…the best way to do it:

1) download mp3tag for windows(http://www.mp3tag.de/en/download.html)…install it with wine (for linux users only)…works perfectly…

2) launch it and select the folder where you’ve got your music in with the change folder button(it will detect all subfolders as well)

3) once it has finished scanning you hole library…select all your tracks (ctrl_A)…and go to the action tabs on the top…select quick action (the one with the arrow)and chose import artwork from file from the dropdown menu….then give it the name of you external coverart…mine are called cover.jpg (I think it’s better if you batch rename all your coverart file to the same name before doing this)

4)wait a bit depending on the size of your library…there you go

5)use floola as usual…tadah you have embeded coverart
