Hi,

Since upgrading to latest Floola I have an issue where when I add new music to my Ipod the artist will show up multiple times when I look at the index on my Ipod, the artists do not show up multiple times when using Floola.

I don’t think this is a case of the artist names being spelt slightly differently because when I select any of the multiple listings all of the artists music is in each listing. Also, as stated above the artist only show up once in Floola.

I’m using the latest Floola (11.3)
I’m using WinXp Pro 32bit SP2
And I have a 30gb Video Ipod.

cheers

Examples?

The ipod needs the names to be exactly the same. Every space, every character needs to be the same for the artist to be listed as only one.

Hi Sid32,

Thanks for your reply, however I really don’t think it is a case of the names be spelled differently.

A. The music I’m adding is being ripped from CD and the names are being pulled off the net based on the cd id.

B. I’ve tried selecting all the songs, retyping the name and clicking the All tab.

C. When I enter any one of the names all the songs show up, if the names were spelt differently surely I would only see some of the songs under each listing.

D. The names are only duplicated in the Ipod index, not in floola, if the names were entered differently wouldn’t they show up differnetly in floola as well?

E. I’ve had the issue of names spelt differently before and have overcome it by renaming the songs so they are all spelt the same without any difficulties.

as for an example I have a couple of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony albums, but since adding the Uni5: The World’s Enemy album I now have 3 listings for Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, all of which have the albums I originally had and Uni5: The World’s Enemy.

Thanks for your help

cheers

1. Try telling Floola its a compilation.

2. Try removing and adding in itunes.
