First of all, I want to thank you for this awesome lightweight software. It’s everything I ever wished for. An easy to use portable app. I’m a long long time user and I simply love Floola.
I hope that Floola will always stay this awesome and easy, and that it dosen’t try to overstep into features that it shouldn’t touch.
Now, there are certain aspects of Floola that I find less favorable, and I’ll give my reasons.
I get that the forced updating very important due to how Apple randomly makes chances to how the data in the iPod is structured. There is nothing you can do about that really, and it’s definitely not Floola’s fault when Apple makes such changes and breaks all compatibility.
My main problem is that, I don’t use iTunes. Not even a little. I don’t have it installed on my computer or anything. I use Floola, and I think it’s all I need.
So the fact that Floola expires to save me from the dangers of iTunes bothers me greatly, since I’m not using iTunes.
Big deal, you might say, just update Floola now and then and you are good. That would be great if not for that.
*More than once I’ve had my library of music and video break from updating, since Floola changes to reflect iTunes changes. this is very sad considering that these updates are coming to save me from having my library break. But the fact is that the only application that has ever broken my library is Floola.
*Floola has expired at times when I did not have access to the internet (I brought my laptop on vacation but could find no wireless internet). I think you could at least let old versions of Floola run if it cannot detect any working internet connection.
*New versions of Floola has for some random reason not worked, giving me a “dead” period of time when I could not use the old Floola because it had exprired, and not use the new Floola for whatever reason was causing the error.
Again, thank you for the awesome software, but I really hope you will leave some possibility of suspending the expire system with some option inside Floola.
totally agreed with you, i already suffered for this system of expiration, it’s a shame, cause i hate that damned itunes, i really hate that app.
Floola it’s almost perfect, i wish the expire system may be optional inside floola in future releases.
what can you say about this, admin?
