First, a huge thank you to the developers and community for making Floola such a wonderful little program.
Now, I am very new to the program, and I’m hoping I can get a few tips on how to get my TV shows showing up, well, properly. Let me give the quick and dirty version of how I ended up with Floola. My external HDD died, a painful and horrible death, taking all of my, well, everything, with it, and leaving me with only what I had on my ipod. My laptop HD is not large enough to store my files, so using iTunes is simply out of the question, since I can’t backup my files and can’t afford to lose the files I have to a reformat. I found Floola and I’m using it as an iTunes replacement and likely will continue to, as my old PowerPC G4 lags like a beast whenever I run iTunes.
The problem I seem to be encountering, is that I can’t get the TV Shows to show up with their season markers. I managed to figure out how to get them to show up as TV shows at all, which at first, they weren’t. Everything was coming up as a movie. But now, I can get them as Tv Shows, but instead of Season 1, 2, 3, etc, I get No Season as the ‘album’ if you will, when I look at them on my ipod. They show up correctly inside Floola.
Any assistance would be much appreciated. Please and thank you.
Okay, silly me. I think I figured out the trouble. But just in case anyone else might run into this problem, here’s the solution that worked for me.
I imported tv show files which were listed as tv shows in iTunes, and did show up as tv shows in edit –> options in Floola. But only showed as movies on the iPod. I found that what I needed to do was change the video type to movie (though I suppose I could have changed them to music video as well) save and then go back and set them as Tv Show. Once I did that, the secondary options for tv shows , show name, episode and season numbering all came up and I was able to set those and poof, fixed.
I hope this helps, if any of you out there are having the same trouble. Now if only I could figure out if Floola allows you to add more sorting columns than artist, albums and songs. Would love a movie and tv show list as well.
